This year, one of my goals is to get up earlier than usual. I decided to get up at 6:00am instead of 7:00am on weekdays. So far, I have managed to do it. Now, it is becoming a habit. I use this extra hour to exercise. I stretch, go on my exercise bike and do weight training. In the spring and summer, I might go out running some mornings.
Exercising first thing in the morning feels good. I feel refreshed when I start work at 7:00. In the past, it was always difficult for me to find time to exercise. I would put it off until after I finished work, but by then, I was too tired. So I ended up just exercising at weekends.
The only problem is that I start to feel sleepy around 10:00am. So I have started drinking more coffee. I hope this sleepiness wears off once my body gets used to my new schedule.
