Billy grows up in a children’s home. He doesn’t know his real name. He doesn’t know anything about his real parents or where he came from. When he is eighteen, he has to leave the children’s home. Before he leaves the home, the manager gives him a clue about his history. Maybe he has a connection to a village called Corphingfield.

One weekend, Billy takes a day trip to Corphingfield. He finds a job in the village and makes new friends. There is a strange woman who lives in the village. He wants to know more about her. Does she know Billy’s family history?
